Flu symptoms,treatment and natural cure



Flue is the most common disease,It is a respiratory illness that is causes by the influenza virus and it affects mostly the respiratory tract. Mostly people who get flu will recover in a few days  some people take maximum 1 to 2 weeks, but sometimes when there is any other  complication such as chest infection throat  infection or pneumonia is means the situation is time taking. 

These are some very Common symptoms of flu 

 fever

cough

sore throat

Runny or stuffy nose

 body aches

headache

chills

 fatigue

 vomiting

We can't say that flu is a seasonal disease,people get flu in any season at any time but it is also a reality that in winter season it affects more than summer.Of a person gets flu usually there is no need of any medication Usually, you just need rest and plenty of fluids to treat the flu. But if you have a severe infection,fever or any complications, your doctor may prescribe  some medicines to treat the flu or fever.But if you don't have any other health issues but only flu then you should follow these simple but basic things to recover.



Water intake.

Good water in take is highly recommended when someone is suffering from flu.So drink plenty of liquids like water, juice and warm soups to prevent dehydration because water is highly effective in flu.warm soups also give relief in cough and good breathing.Light chicken soup not only gives you energy it also boosts your immune system.sometimes when you are sick you may feel a decrease in thirst and it is difficult to drink enough water in this  situation try to drink a little bit of water after every few minutes.

Proper Rest.

Whenever  we give proper rest to you body it means our body is in a very good repairing process and our immune system is also increasing. Rest of our body is also very important when we have flu.Because good sleep helps your immune system to  fight against infection. You may need to change your activity level, depending on your symptoms.So always try to take rest and good sleep.

 

Healthy  Balanced Diet. 

A good and balanced diet  is important for a healthy body and whenever your are ill your body needs better nutrition to recover.It is common that flu effects your appetite but it’s still important to eat regular meals to maintain your strength.So eat a healthy diet because fresh fruits and vegetables provide important vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that strengthen your immune system as it fights off the virus.

Good breathing.

The most problematic thing in flu is stuffy nose and cough because it is always very difficult to sleep with a stuffy nose and cough and you feel more restless.In this condition Use an extra pillow to prop up your head it will ease sinus pressure.Cover your head with a scarf or any soft cloth it is very helpful specially in winter.Try these tips for a better sleep and easy breathe.

Gargle and  Throat sprays.

The other important thing to do is gargle and throat sprays because both are beneficial for sore throat and flu,you can gargle warm salt water or use throat sprays.

Nose Rash.

After cold or flu most people have to face the problem of red nose or nose rash.In these cases, the redness is usually because of the dry skin and it  is the result of constant wiping.when your wipe your nose again and again your have to face this problem.To avoid this problem use petroleum jelly around your nose again and again it will make your skin soft.

The use of vaporizers and humidifiers is also good in flu.

There are 2 very effective home Remedies for Common Cold,Flu and Cough.



Ginger lemon tea.

The tea is tried and tested and really good for cold,cough and flu.

Ingredients.

Water 1 and half Cup

Ginger grated ½ tbs

Lemon slices 3-4

Honey ½ tsp 

Method. 

In a pan boil water,in boiling water add ginger and boil it for 3 minutes on low flame. Add lemon slices,  turn off the flame and cover the pan for 2 minutes.Pour in a cup add honey,mix well and take it.(diabetic patients don't add honey)

You can take this tea twice a day.

 Clove and Cinnamon Tea.

Ingredients.

Water 1 and half Cup

Cloves 3

Cinnamon sticks 2 (2 inch long)

Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon 

Black pepper 3(freshly crushed)

Honey ½ tsp or to taste

Method.

In a pan add water and bring it to boil.Add cloves and cinnamon sticks.Boil it on low flame for 5 minutes.After 5 minutes add fresh crushed black pepper and turmeric powder and turn off the flame immediately and cover the pan for 3 minutes.Now stain it and pour in a serving cup add honey,mix well and take it.Drink twice a day.

The both remedies are very beneficial,You can try anyone but if you want both then take 1 tea in morning after 20 minutes of your breakfast and the other at night.

The fact is that after following the above mentioned rules and the remedies within 48 hours you will feel much better.But it doesn't mean that after feeling better you don't need to take care of yourself,you should continue your rest and routine for 3 to 4 days for complete recovery.
