ONIONS are a basic ingredient of  our food and found in every kitchen, but  there are very few people who know he real powers and benefits of it.They don't known  that it is an important medicinal plant too.Not only because of its medicinal properties the onions are also the basis of so many dishes.They are used as raw, baked, steamed or boiled,in fact it would be difficult to imagine the cuisine of any country without it. In fact, the medicinal properties of onions have been recognized since ancient times,they were used to treat headaches, heart disease, to cure flu,colds and specially for infections.

One medium size of onion has just 44 calories but it has vitamins, minerals and fiber a good amount of vitamin c.Onions have also a rich amount of vitamin B all these ingredients play a very important role in metabolism,for red blood cell production for a good nerve function and for a number of diseases.The important point is that Onions are a good source of potassium which is a main mineral but many people are lacking of it.In fact the potassium intake of majority of people is just over half the recommended daily value .So we can say that Onions are low in calories yet high in nutrients, including vitamin C, B vitamins and potassium.

Onions are full of nutrients,low in calories but high in vitamins and minerals.Onions are   particularly high in vitamin C,this nutrient is recommended in regulating immune health,because vitamin C repairs our muscles and necessary for iron absorption.



For High Blood pressure. 

 Onions are very effective in high blood pressure.The anti-inflammatory properties of onion may also help reduce high blood pressure and protect against blood clots.A recent study in which 70 overweight people with high blood pressure were taken it is found that onion juice reduced systolic blood pressure very effectively without any side effect .

To decrease cholesterol levels.

Healthy cholesterol levels negatively affect the health. It is linked with higher risk of heart disease. When Cholesterol builds up in the walls of arteries it results in narrow arteries. According to studies, onion has properties that may lower cholesterol levels. These are beneficial for your heart health.The good amount of vitamin C,B anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants and minerals are good to reduce Cholesterol.

Nowadays the most common and problematic disease for women is PCOS.A study in which 54 women were taken who were suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) It was found that consuming 2 medium size of raw red onions were very beneficial for PCOS.The most important point is that you have to take raw onions which is the easiest way to eat for everyone as salads or with meals.

Blend the onions then add it to a pan with oil. You can use any other oil in place of coconut oil.Keep it on low flame for 10 minutes , do not fry or overcook the onions.After 10 minutes oil is ready. 

To use - You can use it as hair oil and massage it on your scalp and hair for 5-10 mins. Leave it on 30 mins to an hour, wash it off with a mild shampoo.Use twice a week.

Onions are rich in sulfur,vitamins A, B,C, and E amazing addition in your beauty ingredients onions are good for fighting acne. They also have anti-bacterial, antiseptic and amazing anti-inflammatory properties.Onion has skin lightening properties. It bleaches the skin naturally and removes the dead skin layer.To deal with skin problems the best and most easy way it to dip a cotton pad  in some onion juice and rose water mixture, and apply on dark spots and on Acne skin for about 10 minutes.
